The Centennial Village Museum, located in Island Grove Regional Park, is an outdoor museum with more than 30 structures set on eight acres. It depicts the history of the settlement in Greeley and Weld County from 1860 to about 1920.

The museum opened on July 4, 1976, and was named Centennial Village in honor of the nation’s bicentennial and the state’s centennial.

Highlights include miniature farm animals, pony rides, historic games and living history exhibits where “real” cowboys talk about open range and cattle drives from 1865 to 1885.
