Cheyenne Mountain State Park
Location: El Paso County, southwest of Colorado Springs

Twenty miles of trails await visitors to the 1,680-acre Cheyenne Mountain State Park, for hiking, bicycling or wildlife viewing.

The mountainside park overlooking Colorado Springs has the same vista that inspired “America the Beautiful.” A visitor center has information, shopping, exhibits, and a stone fireplace with a wall of windows overlooking the view.

Facilities for camping and group events are available, as well as environmental education programs where visitors can learn about bears, prairie dogs and lesser-known animals such as martens and wolverines.

The Prairie Skipper outdoor pavilion holds up to 200 people. Prairie Falcon event center accommodates up to 200 people in a rock-step Amphitheatre suitable for an outdoor wedding.
