The Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art dates back to December 1990, when it was founded
as the One West Contemporary Art Center.
The museum is now located in the historic old Post Office building in Old Town Fort Collins and has worked to preserve the 1912 three-story Second Renaissance Revival structure designed by James Knox Taylor.
The Post Office Building, described in its heyday as the “finest building in the city,” is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and as a local landmark.
