The Fort Morgan Museum traces the past and present of the Fort Morgan area, through permanent and visiting displays, photos and educational programs.
In addition to its programs inside, the museum offers guided tours of several historical sites nearby, including a visit to the still visible ruts created by horse drawn wagons traveling the Overland Trail; a trip back to the Ice Age and in artifacts found at Pawnee National Grasslands and the Pawnee Buttes; a day-trip north to Sterling, home of the Overland Trail Museum with its 14 historical buildings.
At noon on the second Tuesday of every month, museum staff and guest speakers present a free program related to area history.
The museum is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
