Artifacts and exhibits at the Idaho Springs Heritage Museum tell the story of the area’s history, from native American residents, geological specimens, mining tools, handcrafts, ski equipment and other bits of every day life past.
The museum was built in 1991 and is run by the Historical Society of Idaho Springs. The society also manages the Underhill Museum in the former home of surveyor and mining engineer James Underhill and his wife Lucy, complete with Lucy’s Victorian garden.
