Lory State Park
Larimer County, west of Fort Collins

Lory State Park is close to Fort Collins but feels like a different world.

In the foothills near Horsetooth Reservoir, the park is noted for its wildflowers and offers hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking on more than 20 miles of trails. Backcountry camping is also available.

Trails explore some of the reservoir’s bays and coves, and canoes, kayaks and rafts can hand-launch. Power boats can be launched at the Horsetooth Dam boat ramp.

A conference center is available for small groups at the park’s Visitor Center, and group picnic areas can accommodate weddings and other events.
