Historic Old Town Fort Collins includes more than 20 buildings that are part of national and local historic districts.

Fort Collins’ downtown is one of two that inspired Disneyland’s Main Street USA, as Disney’s art director came from Fort Collins. The other was in Marceline, Mo., Walt Disney’s home town.

The landmark Armstrong Hotel was restored in 2004 to its former Art Deco elegance. More than 80 restaurants and a variety of shops fill the neighborhood.
