The Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park features fossils from dinosaurs, marine reptiles, pterosaurs and carnivorous fish from the Cretaceous period about 100 million years ago.

The museum also has a working laboratory where specimens are being removed from rock and restored.

The 20,000-square-foot center has more than 30 full-size dinosaur skeletons and lifelike restorations and is particularly child-friendly. Guided tours are included with the price of admission.

The facility is run by Triebold Paleontology Inc., which explores for dinosaurs and other fossils, recovers them and restores and preserves them.
