Staff writer

The Steelworks Museum of Industry and Culture, operated by the Bessemer Historical Society and located in the historic Minnequa Steel Works Office Building and Dispensary, celebrates Pueblo’s long history as a steel town and CF&I’s 120 years of operations.

The main exhibit covers 1915-1936, including the steel mill, coal mines and the C&W Railway. A mine rescue car once used in emergency operations is on exhibit outside.

Guided tours are available.

Several of the mill administration buildings, including the main office building, dispensary, and tunnel gatehouse are undergoing renovation.
