The Wildlife Experience museum offers interactive exhibits that enable users to explore the relationship between habitats and wildlife through natural history, fine art and large-format films.
The museum’s most popular exhibit is the 25,000-square foot Globeology, which opened in 2009 and takes visitors on a quarter-mile tour through seven ecosystems – rainforest, temperate forest, tundra, savannah, Asian highlands, coral reef and desert, plus Colorado’s four major habitats.
Visitors see a 17-foot waterfall, the Aurora Borealis and life at an African watering hole, on coral reefs and in caves. The experience is enriched by the use of animatronics, touchscreens and special visual and sound effects.
The museum also offers two areas for kids, Discovery Den and Cubs Corner, where they can create artworks and learn through hands-on interactive games and exhibits.
